December 7, 2021: Breaking: Two Tribes books delivered to Sunshine Coast, London and Auckland!

Your copies will begin being posted out later today.

WELL, this is a day we’ve all awaited for some time!

I just received an email from UPS saying 50 UK copies of Two Tribes were waiting for me downstairs here in London- and overnight Rob Burgin told me he had received 201 on the Sunshine Coast.

And just a few hours ago, Steve Kilgallon informed me his assignment had also landed in Auckland - much, much more quickly than I anticipated.

The American books are currently in transit and should arrive in Manhattan today or tomorrow.

What does this mean for you, the subscriber?

This afternoon I will sign and begin posting the UK books. How many I get through this afternoon I cannot say for sure.

Obviously I can’t sign the Australian copies. Rob needs email addresses added to his excel sheet so the items can be tracked. I have begun doing that. He will send his first lot tomorrow (Wednesday).

Because of the time difference, Steve and his son Henry are asleep now so I will sort out their posting plans for our New Zealand subscribers tonight my time.

Yesterday I had a great day at Headingley when a new heritage installation in the tunnel was unveiled. I was honoured to have been invited by Gary Hetherington to be a judge of the greatest players even to take the field at the iconic ground and in my capacity as a judge I was invited along to the function.

Malcolm Reilly was there and I really wanted to speak to him about some of the things Paul Harragon told me about 1997.

Alas Malcolm left early. We shall discuss this amazing period in the history of Newcastle and rugby league next time!
